Welcome to The Dittons Fair 2011

The Dittons Scout Group looks forward to welcoming you to our annual fundraising event The Dittons Fair on Sunday 15th May 2011, Giggs Hill Green, from 1pm...you can't miss it! 

The money raised on this day enables our volunteer leaders to run a full and diverse programme of scouting activities for the year and to maintain the scout hut, fondly known as The Shack. 'The Dittons' has over 150 children, boys and girls, from a wide variety of local schools.

Please support The Dittons Scout Group and buy a programme for 50p and win a lucky programme cash prize.

The huge bouncy slide and whirling teacups are child favourites but the Fair is more about traditional activities. 'The Dittons' run many Sideshows and Stalls including: pop guns, crazy golf, lucky cups, coconut shy, football tombola, pots of money and lots more. The ever popular Pig Racing is a crowd favourite, currently undergoing a strict diet and exercise regime for the big day; they look forward to you cheering them on! And if you are a dog owner don't miss the Dittons Dog Show in the Arena.

Our Tea Tent is a very popular destination and we thank Bachmanns for their continued support, providing delicious creations to tempt you. Enjoy afternoon tea serenaded by our guests, All That Jazz.

The Craft and Charity Bazaar has grown this year and we have carefully chosen a variety of offerings and activities to delight fair goers. To name a few...jewellery, hats and handbags, wood and eco products, personalised gifts, clothing, and accessories for children and many more, so come along and support your local charities and craft businesses.

Don't miss the Dittons Tombola. Once again we have been overwhelmed by support from local businesses, big and small, who have donated many fantastic prizes. In addition to traditional tombola prizes there are more than 25 vouchers with a total value of over £600; it's worth a go for 50p for...tickets to the races, beauty and fashion products, meals out, IPod Nano...and lots lots more up for grabs.

All the fun at the Fair in 2010……

The sun shone for the annual Dittons Scout Group May Fair on Sunday 9th May.   Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and their families all got involved in setting up this annual event and in making it the most successful fair to date making a fantastic £11,540! 

Several thousand visitors came along from near and far to enjoy a traditional family fun-filled Sunday afternoon taking in the sideshows, craft and local community stalls and watch the varied arena events whilst enjoying home-made cakes and cups of tea. 

As usual there was plenty of fun and activities put on for all the family including the coconut shy, pig racing, face painting and crazy golf, pop guns and football tombola.  The fun fair was a big attraction with bouncy castles and slides to thrill the children.

The Dotty Dog Show and Dog Gymkhana pulled in the crowds as did the excellent shows put on by Bells Dance Centre, Jardine Karate and Teddington Mini Rugby.

The Fair’s success was also due, in no small part, to all the generous local companies who sponsored the event and continue to do so. Another amazingly successful Dittons Fair and we look forward to seeing you all next year.
