The Dittons Fair has been the main annual community celebration in Thames and Long Ditton for over 60 years, and we're looking forward to returning to Giggs Hill Green on May 12th! The Fair provides the key funding source for scouting activities for over 180 local children, between the ages of 6 and 18 years, who attend The Dittons Scout Group.  The Fair, originally a ‘Summer Spree’ since 1956, moved to Giggs Hill Green in 1964.

This is a hugely popular event, with something for everyone and entry is FREE.

  • A packed arena programme includes the much loved Dotty Dog Show as well as performances by Stagecoach Hinchley Wood and SOEL Dance Academy, amongst others.

  • Over 25 classic fair activities for bags of family fun at pocket money prices: crazy golf, putting, pop guns, toys, books, plants, boot the ball, coconut shy, nerf guns, hoopla... to name but a few, including our signature Pig Racing!

  • A spectacular prize Tombola thanks to all our local community sponsors and their generous donations of vouchers and services

  • Fairground attractions for those seeking a thrill: bungee trampolines, giant inflatable slide, whirling teacups, swing merry-go-round, and more.

  • Refreshments include BBQ, Ices, Candy Floss, Popcorn, and a fabulous Tea Tent patronised by Bachmann's award-winning patisserie, and other homemade goodies.

  • Over thirty crafts and charity stalls make a shopping bazaar within the Fair, with a range of jewellery and gifts on offer.

The fun starts at 1PM with the fair opened by our very own Dittons Scouts!
